Lease Signing

About the Lease

  • When your application is accepted, the landlord will prepare the lease. Please check the lease contents carefully. If you have agreed to additional terms with the landlord, make sure you have it in writing in a rider. Sumitomo agents can explain the details about the important portions of the lease contents.

  • Tenant signs the lease first, then submits a copy to the landlord with any required fees. In about a few days to one month, tenant will receive the lease documents with landlord’s signature.

  • The lease with both parties' (tenant and landlord) signatures confirms mutual agreements on the lease contents. Please keep the original lease until the day you move out. In addition, since it is necessary to confirm the lease contents at the time of lease renewal or termination, please send a copy to your agent.
